The Tokyo marathon in 2019 takes pace on Sunday 3rd March, a little later in the calendar than previous years.
The main race gets underway at 9.05am.
Marathon Course Details
The Tokyo marathon, as is usual with races of this size, has staggered
start times:
9.05am: 10k race and Wheelchair marathon
9.10am: Marathon starts
10.50am: 10k finish
4.10pm: Marathon finish

TV & Live Streaming
For local viewers the marathon is broadcast live on TV by the Nippon Television Network Corporation
The Tokyo marathon has enjoyed excellent TV and online coverage in recent years and this year will be no exception, with the entire race streaming live online:

Hotels and Accommodation
There is plenty of accommodation to choose from in Tokyo, but it will be busy over the marathon weekend to be sure to book in advance. Also note that if you are travelling to Tokyo specifically to take part in the marathon the organisers may be able to help you with accoomodation, information should arrive with your race pack.
